GRANADA LAKES

UNDER EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT FROM PARK HOMES IN SPAIN

We are delighted to release information on a superb new phase on a lakeside development surrounded by national parks in the Granada region of Andalucia. Our Granada lakes development is a new phase on an already well established lakeside park. Phase 1 at lake side level was completed several years ago and is a well laid out small mature park with beautiful plots and homes. The NEW PHASE will be stunning and is situated across the quiet access road on rising terraced ground with wonderful south facing views over the lake and to the mountains beyond. Imagine waking up to that view every morning! Granada lakes is set in a wonderfully peaceful location, surrounded  by nature – numerous spectacular birds including eagles, bee eaters, black winged stilt and a wide array of wild animals. Spring is a time to behold with the area a carpet of wild flowers and rare orchids. The crystal clear lake itself is enhanced by natural minerals which not only assists swimmers with extra buoyancy but ensure the area stays mosquito free according to residents. The lake offers fishing, sailing, wind surfing etc and is wonderful for swimming from spring to autumn.

LOCATION

Granada lakes is situated only 10 minutes walk from a lake side village which offers 2 bar/restaurants and a small B &B. The larger  town of Alhama –de-Granada  is a 10-15 minute drive away and is a delightful ancient  spa town offering a wide array of facilities including many bars/restaurants, 3 supermarkets, garages, banks,bakers, 24 hour medical/hospital etc etc etc. The wonderful city of Granada  is an easy 40 minute drive and you can reach  the beaches of the Costa del Sol and Malaga in 60 -70 minutes.

PARK FACILITIES

The park and a small quiet adjacent rural campsite under the same management are served by a clubhouse which has a bar, restaurant and small shop selling essentials. A swimming pool is available in summer. On a lakeside beach is a small open air bar with snacks.

PLOT DETAILS

We expect plot sizes will vary between 120 and 200 sq. meters. Although final charges are not yet   finalised they will be very much lower than the coast and you can expect to pay approximately 2,500 euros for an average single plot per year.

VIEWING AND INSPECTION TRIPS

Viewing and inspection trips to the new phase of GRANADA LAKES will be available soon. As we have the exclusive contract to market the new phase of the park all viewing arrangements must be arranged though Park Homes in Spain. Please note that our inspection trips are conducted on a very informal and relaxed basis. You will never be pressurised into any form of commitment to purchase during an inspection visit.

CLIMATE

 At an altitude of 2,500 feet summer heat is dry compared to the more humid coast and summer nights are pleasantly cooler. Although temperatures can reach between 30 and 38 degrees in peak summer, the regular afternoon breeze off the lakes comes as wonderful relief. During the short winter, days can remain warm with a piercing blue sky, however nights can be cold and a frost is not unknown .The long spring and Autumn are a wonderful time of year with low rainfall and long sunny days. Rainfall rarely falls between April and November.
