Lake Alarcon - A new site coming soon

We will soon be ready to offer this rural park in a delightful region of “real” Spain. Our Alarcon park will be an extension of an existing rural campsite which already features a good swimming pool and clubhouse with bar/restaurant and winter log fire.

The site owner is developing a new section of his site to take larger mobile and park homes. He is very flexible and you can have a plot of from 150 sq meters up to 300 sq meters. The cost per year at just 1,500 euros for 150 sq meters is the lowest we have encountered in Spain and offers remarkably cheap living. We will offer new and used homes on this park. The site is situated close to the large Lake of Alarcon with sailing, boating and fishing. Spring is glorious here with meadows of wild flowers and a variety of wildlife. Despite the rural location you are only 10 minutes or so drive from the main Madrid – Valencia motorway. Valencia airport is one and a quarter hours and Madrid one and three quarter hours and both airports are on the right side of the city and next to the motorway system. There are superb medieval cities and towns in the area including Alarcon itself with its Castle and Parador. Cuenca City is one of Spain’s classic medieval cities and a must for regular visits.

Climate

Due to altitude this area of central Spain enjoys hot dry summers that are cooler at night than the coast. Winters are short and mid winter is colder that the coast with an average daytime temperature of 12c in January. Winter nights can be cold but the sun still has warmth in the middle of the day.

Our Opinion

If you are looking for a low cost rural retreat in the ‘real’ Spain this will be an excellent choice. If you take one of the largest plots you can even grow your own veg!! A car is essential and a bicycle would be a bonus on the quite rural road and trails.
